This Saturday, KOKO in Camden is the hottest venue in town, thanks to the return of The Playground with what promises to be one of their biggest nights yet. Headlining the night is Sir Bob Cornelius aka The Bloody Beetroots. With a nine-date tour of Europe ahead of the imminent release of the new album – due out later this year – Sir Bob’s selected KOKO as his preferred London destination.

For anyone familiar with The Bloody Beetroots this live event promises a chance to experience the new version – The Bloody Beetroots 2.0. New singles include Rocksteady and Chronicles of a Fallen Love, the latter featuring the vocals of Greta Svabo Bech. For anyone not familiar with The Bloody Beetroots think Daft Punk electronica with a genuine punk attitude.

With support coming from bass heavyweight High Rankin, rapid progressors in electronica Cutline, and dubstep don Stenchman, plus The Playground’s near unrivaled pedigree, if you don’t have plans for the weekend, now’s your chance.

KOKO, Saturday 09/03/13, 9pm – 4am. Tickets available from The Playground.
