Returning to its early summer home in Victoria Park, E3, Field Day is back for the seventh year on Saturday 25th May. Growing year-upon-year, the festival has consistently attracted the hottest acts and the best emerging talent, and this year is certainly gearing up to be one of the best yet.

In a strong 2013 line-up, Disclosure, Everything Everything, Four Tet, Julio Bashmore and the younger sister of Beyoncé – Solange all grace the bill as promoter Tom Baker of Eat Your Own Ears explains; “It’s always a challenge trying to better the last Field Day line-up. But I think [this] year’s is as thrilling, inspiring and diverse as anything we’ve ever done. I am personally honoured that Field Day will play host to the brilliant main stage double bill of ground-breaking artists Animal Collective and Bat For Lashes. And alongside these, Zimbabwe’s Thomas Mapfumo, seminal drummer Ginger Baker and Ethiopiques’ legend Mulatu Astatke are true dream bookings for Field Day.”

Alongside heavyweight promoters Eat Your Own Ears, Bugged Out! and BleeD, Lanzarote, The i Paper, The Quietus, FACT Magazine, Last FM, Resident Advisor, The Line of Best Fit and Stool Pigeon all partner up to put on a good time.

Bringing together such an impressive and imaginative musical line-up paired with traditional fete games like tug of war and sack races, fingers crossed for an afternoon of sunshine because Field Day 2013 is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the London summer.
